HEART SAVER CPR class will be held May 9 from 6 to 10 p.m. at White County Memorial Hospital. The class meets the requirements for state guidelines for daycare providers. For more information, call (574) 583-1735 to register.

Wednesdays in the Wild will feature SHOOTING STARS AND MORE (WILDFLOWERS). Jim Peterson, wildflower expert and manager of Clegg Gardens, will lead a walk through the gardens next to Wildcat Creek. The presentation will be in Lafayette, just south of the intersection of 200N and 400E (Eisenhower Road) on May 3 from 1 to 3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Students in Ivy Tech Community College's practical nursing program are helping Adult Protective Services recognize National Vulnerable Adult Prevention Month by hosting a SENIOR SAFETY FAIR on the college campus. The fair will be held on May 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Lilly Rooms at Ivy Hall located on the college campus at 3101 S. Creasy Lane, Lafayette. The fair is free and open to the public. Seniors and disabled adults are encouraged to attend and will receive a sack lunch. Special presentations will be held throughout the day.
