Hardyniec-Leow vows pledged

Sara Hardyniec and Patrick Leow were united in marriage last summer in Copper Harbor, Mich. Father Larry VanDamme officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Bruce and Lori Hardyniec of Bringhurst. She is a 1999 graduate of Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School, and graduated in 2005 from Michigan Technological University with an M.S. in Civil Engineering.

The groom's parents are Carl and Sue Leow of Rogers City, Mich.. He is a 1999 graduate of Rogers City High School and also received his M.S. in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 2005.

The ceremony was held in Our Lady of the Pines Church, a log cabin church near the shores of Lake Superior. After the ceremony, family and friends joined the couple for dinner and dancing at the nearby Mariner North Resort.

The maid of honor was the bride's sister, Jennifer Hardyniec of Bringhurst. Bridesmaids were the groom's sister, Wendy Leow of Lansing, Mich.; the bride's cousin, Lindsay Smith of New York, NY; and Lyn Stanton of Daytona, Fla.

The best man was Archie Kollmorgen of Omaha, Neb. Groomsmen were the bride's brother, Andy Hardyniec of Houghton, Mich.; Jared Kowalewsky of Lansing, and Brett Stanton of Daytona.

Ushers were Mike Hartkop of Bend, Ore., and Dan Leow of Rogers City, both cousins of the groom.

The couple enjoyed an eight-day honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii.

Mr. and Mrs. Leow now reside in Duluth, Minn., where she is a geotechnical engineer for American Engineering Testing, Inc. and he is a structural engineer for Krech Ojard & Associates.
