Dorothy K. DeLong, 95, formerly of Colburn, died at 7:45 p.m. on March 26, 2006, at Covenant Hospital in Plainview, Texas.

Born in Buffalo on Sept. 27, 1910, she was the daughter of William and Henricka Kentrick Reinecke. She was a graduate of Dayton High School and Indiana Business College.

Her marriage was to James R. DeLong on Feb. 11, 1940 in Dayton, and he died April 7, 1996.

Mrs. DeLong was a homemaker, who enjoyed cooking. She was a member of Colburn United Methodist Church and Dayton Order of the Eastern Star. She was a resident of Colburn for 65 years.

Surviving are her son, Rex R. DeLong (wife: Toni) of Plainview, Texas; a sister, Kathrean D. Hockema of Dayton; two grandsons, Lance K. DeLong (wife: Brandi) of Lameson, Texas, and Aaron B. DeLong (wife: Delissa) of Canyon, Texas; and six greatgrandchildren, Megan N. DeLong, Taylor J. DeLong, Hannah K. DeLong, Hunter H. DeLong, Berkley K. DeLong and Ally B. DeLong.

Services were Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home, with burial at Colburn EUB Cemetery.
