New teaching tool

Carroll Elementary PTO recently purchased a promethean board for the elementary's computer room. The promethean board is a 78" interactive whiteboard which teachers can use in various ways with their classes. Kara Burrous, a fifth grade teacher, uses the board for lab work, while Malinda Blocher uses it with all the second graders. Nancy Sabatini has been working on a test over the story, "My Side of the Mountain," and fourth grade teachers, Carrie Pickard and Jenelle Gish, use the board for webquest. PTO wants to purchase another board, at a cost of $5,000, as soon as funds are available. Pictured above is Judy McCracken, left, who is training three second graders on how to use the board.
