Brown Church, north of Rockfield, 1925 Carroll County moves to collect delinquent personal property taxes. Delinquent taxpayers face the prospect of being pursued by a private firm intent on collecting those taxes.
A portion of the Vianco Road in Pittsburgh was ruined due to construction work on the bridge replacement project over the Wabash River at that location. The road was totally destroyed according to highway supervisor Fred Petersen. 25 YEARS AGO
At the Monday evening meeting of the Delphi City Council, Mayor Wayne Van Sickle read the letter, which will be sent to city residents whose properties are in violation of unkempt regulations.
A fire contract for three townships - Deer Creek, Madison and Tippecanoe was approved.

The new Tri-Township fire truck is scheduled to be given its local tests next Tuesday morning, and if everything is satisfactory, it will be put into service. Since Friday, the new equipment has been stored in the Paul Johnson garage awaiting final tests.
Seven townships and possibly more will participate in an intensive school survey of the community, seeking to learn what would be the most advantageous steps to take for the total good of education in this section. The survey will be made by the Purdue University division of field study.

On and after April 6th Retherford Sisters of Kirklin, will have a display of the latest street and dress hats, new Easter and graduation styles for ladies', misses' and children. This display will be at Bonebraker's general store, Cutler, Ind.
Nola Finney, a young man 21 years of age employed on the Mart Boone farm west of town, was struck by lightning during the storm Friday afternoon of last week and was rendered unconscious for more than two hours. He was standing in the door of an old log house at the time and strange to say only a few shingles were disturbed on the building.
