Kenneth R. Walker, 87, of Pettit, died March 19, 2006, at Mulberry Health & Retirement Community. Born Aug. 21, 1918, in Lafayette, he was the son of Roy P. and Laura Ehresman Walker. He married Margaret L. Roth in 1943 in Edna Mills, and she died in 1998. A World War II Army veteran, he farmed in the Pettit area for most of his life. Surviving are two daughters, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services will be held at 2 p.m. today, March 29, at Bodine Funeral Home, Rossville.

Ruby C. Kemp, 85, of Newtown died March 26, 2006. Born in Orange County on June 3, 1920, she was the daughter of Laughlin and Addie Moody Chastain. Her marriage on Jan. 21, 1940, was to Robert M. Kemp, and he died Nov. 5, 1998. Surviving locally is a daughter, Karen Lolamondiere of Delphi. Services will be today at Maus Funeral Home in Attica at 11 a.m., with burial at Newtown Cemetery.

Suzanne Shields, 71, of Marion died on March 10, 2006, in Moscow, Russia. Born Feb. 28, 1935, she was the daughter of Thomas and Eunice Day Heale. Her marriage was to Jon C. Shields, and he died Feb. 10, 2002. Surviving locally is a daughter, Lisa Bough of Bringhurst. Services were March 22 in Gas City.

Florence L. Jensen, 93, of West Lafayette, died March 20, 2006. Born Jan. 17, 1913, she was the daughter of Frank H. and Ella O. Moore Herath. She married Charles A. Jensen on April 26, 1986, and he died on March 4, 1995. Surviving locally is a daughter, Ellen Welsh of Flora. Services were March 24 in Goodland, with burial at Goodland Cemetery.

Minnie F. Williams, 88, died March 24, 2006. Born July 12, 1917, in Casey County, Ky., she was the daughter of J.O. and Alta M. Wright Farris. She married Rev. Frank Williams on Feb. 24, 1942, and he survives. Surviving locally is a daughter, Helen Stoops of Cutler. Service is today at 10:30 a.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home in Frankfort, with burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
