Dorothy M. May Weaver, 86, of 2542S 5 8 5 W , Delphi, in the community of Radnor, died at 6:50 p.m.

on March 24,

2006, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center in Delphi. She had been a resident there since April 14, 2005.

Born in Lafayette on Jan. 13, 1920, she was the daughter of Haskel and Margaret Pitts May. She attended high school in Monroe County.

Her marriage was to William J. "Bill" Weaver Sr. on June 19, 1942, in Lafayette, and he survives.

Mrs. Weaver was a former member of St. Mathew's Lutheran Church in Delphi.

She worked at Warren Paper in Lafayette, the former Brown Rubber Plant in Monticello and at the former Essex Wire Company in Flora.

She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening.

Surviving with her husband are two sons, William "Will" Weaver (wife: Linda) of Indianapolis and Jerry L. Weaver of Delphi; four grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Pearl; a brother, Robert; and two great-grandsons.

Services were Tuesday at Abbott Funeral Home, with Rev. Nord Zootman officiating. Burial was at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette.
