Hillcrest kindergartners learned their lessons at a field trip to Kevin Kremer's farm on Carrollton Road. Donna Newell and Ruth Van Matre's classes visited the farrowing barn. They learned about the special care given to the piglets and about the stages of growth. Students took a hayride to the pastures, where they met the cows and new calves. Kindergartners take the trip annually to supplement lessons about Spring, nutrition and farm animals.
