4-H Dog Workshops
Training classes will be held Monday evenings beginning April 3. First-year members will train from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m., and returning members will train from 7:15 to 8 p.m. Workshops will be held in the 4-H show arena, so members should dress for the weather. A six-foot nylon or leather leash and nylon collar or correctly fitting choke chain is required. Proof of vaccination must be supplied at this time. Goat Workshop
Members and parents should plan to attend a workshop April 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the 4-H Community Building in Flora. Bring project books to the meeting. At least one activity will be completed. Parents are encouraged to attend as part of the meeting will be devoted to setting future workshop dates and the boer goat weigh-in.
Carroll County Mini 4-H Day
Second graders and their parents are invited to the annual Mini 4-H Fun Day at the 4-H Community Building in Flora April 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The free program includes hands-on events such as making and eating ice cream, making fossil prints, crafts, dinosaur puppet, "horses" and sewing a magnet. Bring a brown bag lunch. Drinks are provided. For more information and to register, contact the Carroll County 4-H Office at (765) 564-3169.
Poultry Workshop
There will be a workshop April 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the 4-H Community Building in Flora. 4-H members should bring their project books. Those who want to show broilers should contact leaders by May 1
Cake Decorating Workshops
Workshops will be held at the 4H Community Building in Flora April 4 and 24. Beginners will meet from 6 to 7 p.m., intermediate and advanced members will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. 4-Hers should bring practice icing and icing tips.
Rabbit Workshop
A meeting will be held April 5 at 6:30 p.m. at the 4-H Community Building in Flora. Enter from the east side.
