Is there a cow in your house?
Area fourth graders learned about some of the products made from beef during Ag Day last Thursday at the Delphi Armory. Some kids were surprised to learn that their shoes, paint, floor wax and glue are all made with the byproducts of beef. They heard lessons about corn and found out that Indiana is becoming a pioneer in ethanol production. Myron Sink said that about 10 percent of cars in Indiana are running on ethanol. Students heard lessons about soybeans, farm safety and agriculture careers at the annual event. Comet photo by Dee Dellenbach |
