FLC co-op to present musical

Comet staff report

Follow the Light of Christ (FLC) home school co-op's high school drama class will present "Cheaper By The Dozen" this Friday and Saturday at the Delphi First Assembly of God.

A musical, it will begin at 6 p.m. both evenings. Tickets are $6 per person or $25 for an immediate family of five or more. Refreshments can be purchased during intermission.

"Cheaper By The Dozen" is an endearing, comical tale set in the early 1920s. It follows the love of two parents, the Gilbreths, and the changes that befall their large family. The three oldest Gilbreth girls are starting to feel the pressures of being the children of their brilliant father, a pioneer in industrial efficiency. As the play progresses, the Gilbreth children learn what it means to be a family, and their father learns a lesson about letting his children grow up.

The FLC drama class has presented several previous plays, but this will be their first musical. The students have choreographed each dance, as well as designed and built their own sets, and made or gathered their own costumes. A special prop for this production is the Gilbreth family car, modeled after a 1923 Pierce Arrow. Directors of the play are Kathy Wolfe and Pat Gray.
