Germond Germond Ti p p e c a n o e C h a m b e r Music Society Young Artists Concert will be March 19, and a local girl, H a n n a h Germond, will perform there.

P i a n i s t Germond, violist Clio Tilton, violinist Bethany Jones and cellist Will Dunlap will represent local young artists in a program of Brahms, Chopin, Bach, Gershwin and Lutoslawski.

A grand finale collaboration will bring together these young artists with their former teachers, Regan Eckstein, Amy Brandfonbrener and Eric Edburg performing Brahms String Sextet in B flat.

Germond began studying piano at the age of eight. She is a student of Emilio del Rosario at the Music Institute of Chicago. She is also a private piano teacher and teaches a studio of 24 students.

Germond is the daughter of Kirk and Joanne Germond of Delphi. The second of eight children, she attributes her love of music to the place that music is given in her home, as well as the inspiring example of her teachers and other musicians she has met. She said that striving for musical excellence is a family theme that helps her sustain an intensive practice schedule.

The concert will be held at Thomas Duncan Community Hall 619 Ferry St., Lafayette, at 3 p.m.
