Howard J. Leslie, 73, of Frankfort died Feb. 22, 2006 at his residence. Born in Delphi on June 21, 1932, he was the son of Jessie O. and Estella J. Popejoy Leslie. Mr. Leslie was a plumber and steamfitter for Local 440. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. His marriage was to Evelyn S. Swihart, and she survives. Surviving locally is a brother, William Leslie (wife: Sharon) of Delphi. Services were Saturday in Frankfort.

Paul Hicks, 85, of West Lafayette died Feb. 27, 2006, at the Indiana Veteran’s Home. Born in Greenstown on June 27, 1920, he lived in Flora before moving to the home in 2001. Mr. Hicks served in the U.S. Army infantry from 1941 to 1945, and received the EAME Theater Ribbon with four Bronze Stars, Purple Heart and American Defense Service Medal with a Bronze Star. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 1 p.m. on Thursday in the Indiana Veterans Home Chapel. Burial will be at Indiana Veterans Home Cemetery.
