R. Boyd Evernham, 87, of Idaville, died at 2:33 a.m. on Feb. 28, 2006, in Lafayette.

Born in Buffalo on Jan. 25, 1919, he was the son of Ira J. and May Fry Evernham.

His marriage was to Virginia Skillen in Royal Center on April 12, 1942, and she survives.

Mr. Evernham farmed all of his life and was a member of White Oak Methodist Church.

Surviving with his wife are

son, Mike Evernham (wife: Vicky) of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; a daughter, Sandy Cox

husband: Jay) of Bringhurst; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by

sister.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at FisherVoorhis-Draper Funeral Home in Monticello, with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. Service will be there Friday at 10:30 a.m., with burial at Indian Creek Cemetery near Headlee.
