Extension Homemakers offer need to know lessons
The Carroll County Extension office will be hosting lessons about manners, etiquette, nutrition, activity, positive attitude and saving money. Lessons will be held March 2 at the 4-H Community Building in Flora. The public is invited.
The schedule follows:
10 a.m. – Good Manners & Etiquette for Everyday Living. Etiquette is protocol that includes rules for behavior that seldom allow for personal variations. Manners on the other hand, relate to kindness and caring about others. Having good manners goes beyond socially acceptable behavior and feelings. Learn how “real” manners are instinctive, and with good sense, etiquette and caring manners, everyone has the power to make order out of disorder and bring pleasure into people’s lives.
7 p.m. – Living Well. This program will explain how to live well through proper nutrition, physical activity and a positive attitude. Learn how to make positive changes in order to live a long and healthy life.
7 p.m. – Saving on a Shoestring. Loaded with dozens of practical tips that will pay off for everyone, this session eliminates any excuses for not saving and improving everyone’s financial situation. Whether new or more experienced savers, everyone will want to come to this lesson. Learn how to cut expenses, reduce debt and stash more cash.
