Isletta A. Zolper

Isletta A. Smith Zolper, 68, of 6065N 800W, Delphi, died unexpectedly at 10:40 a.m. on Jan. 10, 2006,

at her residence.

Born on Nov. 28, 1937, in Palisade, Neb., she was the daughter of Clifford and Ardith McCormick Smith. She was a 1955 graduate of Palisade High School.

Her marriage was to Thomas E. Zolper in McCook, Neb., on June 11, 1958, and he preceded her in death on April 26, 1987.

Mrs. Zolper worked as a waitress during her early years, and was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Palisade VFW Auxiliary.

Mrs. Zolper enjoyed cooking, bird-watching and deer-watching, Purdue Men’s Basketball and game shows.

Surviving are four daughters, Kimbra Brown (husband: Steven) of Mira Loma, Calif., Diane Hall (husband: Gerald) of Chicago, Claudia Arnold (husband: Terry) of Lafayette and Margo Wilkinson (husband: Micheal) of Kokomo; two sons, Mark Zolper (wife: Stefani) of Westminster, Calif., and Alec “AJ” Zolper of Clovis, N.M.; two brothers, Billy Smith (wife: Beth) of Palisade, Neb., and Dennis Smith of Oak Harbor, Wash.; her mother of Palisade, Neb.; and 14 grandchildren.

Services were Saturday at Abbott Funeral Home, with burial at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Delphi.
