Christmas Eve Service at Camden United Methodist Church will begin at 8:30 p.m.
Lower Deer Creek Church of the Brethren Christmas Eve Service will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Camden American Legion will meet Dec. 26 in the Legion Home.
Dorcas Missionary Society of the Baptist Church met recently in the church fellowship hall for the December meeting. Ten members were present for the annual candy wrap meeting. Officers installed for the coming year by Mary Lou Rude were: Melody Hodges, president; Mary Lou Rude, vice president and literature; Cathy Geo, treasurer; Teresa Hensley, secretary and White Cross; Eva Lou Shanks, Love Gift; Virginia Shonk, remembrance. Six hundred sixty-four bags of candy were wrapped for the East Side Christian Center in Indianapolis. Bible book of the month was Matthew. Hostesses were Eva Lou Shanks and Teresa Hensley.
Fourteen members of the Aim Hi E.H. Club met Thursday night at the Camden Pub for their annual Christmas party. After dinner, the group went to Colleen Franek’s home for the remainder of the party. Christmas carols were sung and gifts exchanged. Secret pals were also revealed and new ones drawn. The birthday song honored Mary Trapp and the anniversary song, Colleen Franek. Devotions were given by the hostess. Prize winner was Joan Rogers. Co-hostess for the evening was Jean Willy.
Camden Elementary School will be on Christmas break from Dec. 22 to Jan. 3.
The Camden Pub will be closing permanently following the evening meal on Dec. 23.
The monthly foot care clinic at the Senior Citizens Lounge will be Tuesday at 12:15 p.m.
Camden Town Council will conduct its regular year-end meeting at 7 p.m. Dec. 28 in the Camden Community Building.
