Robert G. W. Mikels Jr., 88, of Battle Ground, died Dec. 17, 2005, in Dade City, Fla. Born Feb. 4, 1917 in Battle Ground, he was the son of Robert G. W. Sr. and Avah Barnard Mikels. His marriage was to Donna L. Kirk on Sept. 10, 1938, and she survives. Surviving locally is a daughter, Rosalie Gray of Delphi.

James D. Frost, 70, of Lafayette, died on Dec. 18, 2005. Born Feb. 23, 1935, he was the son of James J. and Rosanne South Frost. His marriage was to Judith A. Clark in 1959, and she survives. He worked as a hod carrier for Local 274 for 33 years until his retirement. Surviving locally is a brother, Dan Frost of Delphi. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Hippensteel Funeral Home, Lafayette.

Rickey E. Stotler II, 21, of Monticello, died Dec. 16, 2005, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Monticello on Dec. 4, 1984, he was employed at Tyson Foods in Logansport. Surviving locally is a sister, Amanda M. Stotler of Delphi.
