Local letters to Santa

Drawing by Faith Drawing by Faith Carroll County post offices have received many letters to Santa and have forwarded them to the North Pole.

Copies of some of them are printed below, leaving original spellings intact.

Several children drew pictures for Santa, and one child enclosed a dollar with his letter.

Hi Santa,

I want to let you know what I want for Christmas. I want a ballet outfit, and shoes, a Bella dancerella set, a Bratz baby, and lots more toys. I’ll leave a list of the rest with your milk and cookies. I’m leaving carrots for the raindeer too. Thank you and merry Christmas Santa. I love you.

Love, Sabra P.S.: Give my kitty something too, please.

Dear Santa,

My name is Alyssa. I am a girl and I am already 8 years old! I live in the great city of Flora. Of course, that’s in Indiana, United States, but I’ll bet you knew that! This year I’ve been so good that I should be the angel on top of the tree!

Santa Claus, some things I might like for Christmas this year are: Care bear, baby cat, and puppy.

Love, Alyssa

Dear Santa,

Drawing by Kate Drawing by Kate I really want a furby and a star station for Christmas but what I really want the most is a drum and an electric guitar. P.S.: Oh and I really would like a bell off your sleigh.

Love, Brooke

Dear Santa,

I want a lot of money

Joey

Dear Santa,

I would really like a Dora talking kitchen. I made you cookies but ate them, but will make more. Alie Dear Santa,

Merry Christmas! How is Mrs. Claus, your Elves and raindeer? Do you know how much I like Christmas? I like it so much I wish it was Christmas every day! But I don’t like Christmas for the toys. I like it for giving! It’s true!

I wish I could have a raindeer, because I think they would be usefull and their cute!

I cannot wait untill Christmas, because it will be great!

From Kate

Dear Santa,

I will give your reindeer some carrots and you some cookies. Can you please give my baby some presents and me too? I just want 3 presents. Santa I love you and my mom and my daddy. I love everyone, it is tue. I am a good girl. You are special.

Your friend, Havannah

Dear Santa,

I have tried to be good all year. And have been helpful to my parents, very helpful. All I want for Christmas is a talking vacuum, street sweeper, and two pogo sticks, one for me and one for my brother, so we won’t fight. I would like a big bear to cuddle too. Please drive the sleigh carefully on Dec. 24.

Love, Aaron

Dear Santa,

I don’t want to lie and say I’ve been good this year, when I haven’t! I tried, but I wasn’t perfect! I don’t really want much...just things I need! Things as in clothes, dressy shirts, socks, and anything else you think I might need. If possible, I would like a digital camera...just for fun! I have been trying to get a cell phone, but no one seems to want to get me one...so maybe you and your elfs could put one together for me! He ha. I need things that I can groom myself with (new hair brush, etc.). OK. Well I need to help my little sister write hers, so C-ya soon! Love, Amanda Dear Santa,

I am having fun putting up the Christmas stuff today. How have you been? Have your reindeer been good this Christmas? Is there really a reindeer with a red nose? Because that is just weird.

I have been very good this Christmas month...the rest of the year I have been pretty good. I want the American Girl Doll Marisol, just like my friend Emily.

My cousin Devota has a Build-A-Bear costume that looks just like you. It is so cute! I can’t believe you have to go all around the world in one night. That is not very much time to deliver presents to all of the boys and girls. Your reindeer must go FAST! Have your elves made really cool toys?

I want another Lava lamp. All three of mine have broke. I want a fun Christmas!

We will leave out five cookies for you and a whole glass of milk so you won’t get hungry. I will also leave some sunflower seeds on the porch for the reindeer.

I hope you have a fun New Year!

Love, Hilary

Dear Santa Claus,

I want a Play Station Two, or a PSP. But if you don’t get me it, I don’t mind. P.S. My other thing I want is that you give every body what they want.

Love, Omar

Dear Santa,

I hope your reindeers are being good for you. Do you have a reindeer that has a red nose? yes or no? Circle and send back.

Macy

Dear Santa,

I love you. Last Christmas it was great and I bet this Christmas it’s gonna be greater!

The post offices in Carroll County announced a few weeks ago that they would have special boxes for letters to Santa.

What they didn’t expect was that some of the letters received would be from children at heart.

One of them is printed below.

Dear Santa,

I really don’t need anything for me. But it would be great if every child could have a happy home and plenty of food to eat.

It would be wonderful if all the people in Burlington and community area serve a free meal at the community park, and hand out rebuilt toys or new ones.

We could set cans around over town all year for people to donate whatever towards helping defray the cost.

These are just some old guy’s thoughts. Thank you. Unexpected letters to Santa
