Carroll (13-11) fell short of its quest for a regional victory as Guerin Catholic (15-11) defeated the Cougars 70-60 in the Saturday afternoon session of the Tipton Regional 10. Carroll never led, but fought hard throughout the game. Every time the Cougars made a run to take the lead, the Golden Eagles answered with a run of their own to pull away, keeping Carroll at bay. More ... Delphi Community Middle School seventh and eighth grade wrestling team competed March 6 in the W.C.J.C. Wrestling Conference held at Benton Central High School. The Delphi Community Middle School swim team beat Benton Central 129-57. Cameron Burns was a quadruple winner, setting the school record in the 400 freestyle with a time of 4:25.45. Burns also won the 100 breaststroke and teamed with Emma Carpenter, Trevor Peters and Elliott Murphy to win the 200 and 400 freestyle relays. More ... Two teams of the Carroll County Special Olympics Lady Comets competed last weekend in the state basketball tournament held at DePauw University, Greencastle.
