8th graders and parents invited to orientation meeting
      A freshman orientation meeting for eighth grade students and their parents will be held at 6:45 p.m. March 30 at the Delphi Community High School in the Little Theatre. School counselors will discuss the four-year plan, types of diplomas, graduation requirements, and other information related to the high school experience.

Rossville wins gold at leadership conference
      Fourteen members of Rossville Family Career Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) competed at State Leadership Conference March 4-6. Rossville members won 11 silver medals and three gold medals. Five members are national qualifiers and five other members are national qualifier alternates.

      Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School seventh graders KARLEE KITCHEL and MADISON RINEH A R T recently served as Indiana House Pages during the 2010 session of the Indiana General Assembly for Representative Rich McClain (RL ogans- port). As a page, students 13 years and older spend the day gaining a greater understanding of state government and how laws are made.

Cougar of the Month
      Carroll Elementary Cougar of the Month for February is fifth grade teacher, Nancy Sabatini. She was nominated by Kandice Ayres, who wrote, “I would like to nominate Mrs. Sabatini for Cougar of the Month. She is nice and kind. Mrs. Sabatini makes grammar a lot of fun. She is very helpful of any subject. So that is why I want to nominate her.”
